You've left us for a much beter place,
where you can get all of the gruts, coffee, and scrambled eggs you want.
I know that was your favorite because,
I would make it for you every morning.
You were a great person and I love for it.
I wish I could have told you how much you meant to me,
while you could still breathe and respond to me.
I play Viola now, just like I used to in 5th grade.
I wasn't good then,
but my skills grow each time I play.
You used to love listening to me play Mary Had a Little Lamb.
You made me play it so often,
I had memorized it by day three.
We did so much stuff together,
that I will never forget you.
I can only hope,
that I'm making the right decisions by you.
I used to love taking you down to the boat ramp,
and would watch the sunset every morning
and the sunset every night.
We would sit at the bar in the kitchen,
and talk for so long,
I'd end up sleeping in past my alarm for school.
I love you with all my heart, Nanny.
You made me laugh and smile every day.
I pray to you and hope you hear me.
Dear, Nanny,
I love you with all my heart,
and miss you with everything.
I hope that you approve of my actions.
Because I'm letting you live vicariously through me.
