You chose fame over friendship

You Were My Friend,
And I Was Yours.
Like two peas in a pod,
And unseperatable.
But then it all happened ,
When you stopped being my friend.
You chose fame over friendship.
Now I look back,
I don't know why,
I chose you as a friend.
A selfish, shallow, person.
You quickly made new friend,
That were all posh like you.
You made me feel as if,
I didn't fit in.
Later did I realise why they liked you.
It wasn't because of your talent;
But your possessions;
And your money.
Your fancy clothing;
And your life style.
All this fame and popularity quickly backfired.
As you yourself realised ... eventually.
You didn't want to know the truth,
That they didn't like you
You came back to say sorry.
But it was too late.
I didn't want to be your friend.
Because you chose fame over friendship.
One thing money can never buy is friendship...
