Living alone in the Nightmare

It’s not easy when you’re the only one crying

When everyone is smiling but you’re slowly dying

Everything in your life is falling apart

While to everyone it’s the start

Of a new story to talk about

Some may laugh and others may listen in doubt

But only you will live in the nightmare alone

Wishing you were nothing but a stone

Looking back and feeling so small

In a world that’s not fair at all

If you make a single mistake

Then you’re left with nothing to take

Or no one left on your side

You can try to run but you can never hide

Apparently this is reality

Everything you say is understood differently

Your heart feels far away, gone to disappear

Your mind is there but no longer near

You know its reality because everything’s the same

But you were too caught up in the dream

Never realizing it was too good to be true

Now you’re stuck not knowing what to do

As everything continues to contradict

You’re still living in never endless conflict

And nothing will ever be bright

Or ever seem to work out right

What’s to come next you never know

And the answer is coming too slow

You can’t just sit back and wait

Yet you know you can’t change fate

And every day is coming with a new attack

It’s getting harder to fight back

Because as the sun comes out after a rainy day

The rain inside will never go away

It’s something buried deep

Something to hard to sweep

But only you can feel all this

There isn’t one moment that you can miss

Because this is the life you chose to make

Out of the decisions you decided to take

You could try to fix things with one chance

But nobody will let you enhance

If only you could go back in time

You would never do the same crime

But then again that’s why you learn

So you never have to return

It’s not the end of the world if you fall back

Just try to get on the right track

Follow one straight path

And never forget to have faith

That tomorrow will always be a brighter day

Even if you on your own way

And nobody else can feel your pain

But time is there to help it drain
