The baby bird is hatched.

The mother protects the unborn baby.

The bird hatches and comes to life.

He's full of life

He brings the mother joy.

He sings beautifully

And is a little helper.

He helps the mother with the nest.

He builds it up and makes it a home.

She teaches him to fly.

He fails and fails, but then succeeds.

All because of his mothers perseverance and belief.

He soon goes out on his own.

He grows up and grows

Under the care and love of his mother.

When it comes time,

He knows he must leave the nest.

He has grown enough

And is now faced to make decisions of his own.

The little black bird must build his own nest.

So the bird says goodbye to his mother,

Thanks her for all she has done,

And flies away to his freedom.

It is his time to shine

And let go of everything he knows.

He is hesitant at first

The bird does not want to fly off

And leave his comforting nest.

But he gathers the courage,

And flies off towards freedom.

He doesn't look back,

But he remembers his mother,

And what she has made him to be.

She has made him a strong,

And capable bird.

He can fly, and build his own nest and family.

He can now be free from the clutches of his mother,

But he will never forget her.

He is thankful for what she has provided him with.

So when he is nearby,

He flies over to her nest

And gives her a quick hug and kiss,

Because a mother's motherly love,

Is all you need in life to succeed.
