If you have the time

Same Voice

Frightened by the bulbs of fame

Snowboots under the closet door

Speculating what’s for hating

Hating what they guesstimate

Do you know - do you care

Do you know - were you there

Were you ever there

I restarted refreshed clean shave

Like I promised I’ll be brave

Show me colors your true face

If anyone ever hears the voice is the same

Calculated my own shame

Hiding by the bedroom door

Serenading in the starlight

Star’s light hid the shared and greyed scars

Did you know – did you care

Did you think I would be there

I was always there

On corpse’s coattails strung along

Wrong when right and unrighted wrongs

Garbling the verses of all unsung songs

If anyone ever hears the voice is the same
