Softly padding down the hall,
Tail flicking through the air,
Head held high and proud and tall,
As triumphant as I dare.
~
Scratching posts and chairs,
My domain is here,
Sitting while I preen my hair,
Watching as in mice, I strike fear.
~
Stretching white paws I do see,
As I waken from my nap,
I start, for a mouse I do see,
I pounce and miss with a snap.
~
When the voice begins to call,
"Here kitty kitty!"
I jump, and almost fall,
She thinks she is so witty...
~
Time for the meal.
My feast yet awaits!
Through the kitchen to seal the deal,
Oh, her and her fancy dates!
~
Running through his legs,
As I twist and turn,
Looking at me she begs,
Asking me to learn!
