Hollow (oh no someone already posted a "Hollow")

Poetry By: rofltaco

Excuse the title, it's no surprise that "Hollow" was already taken. Just a poetry assignment for my creative writing class

The Void isn't black; it's devoid of color, you see

This vacuum derides a soul terrified

No sensory vanity-impossible to define

Like describing a new sense or a dimension

Beyond our three

This is no realm of fear; at least it shouldn't ever be

But the projections of his mind left him far behind

And imagine a fantasy intent to terrify

He casts reality aside, in himself confides

Escape's futility

In vacuum are birthed his gods and ravenous demons

Every monster who claims to have swallowed the sun

But truth beholds none, not a single no one

Could dare challenge death's hollow reality;

Your sun is weak

He fears no spirits, no deranged mortal minds

No delusions of tormenting infinitude's confine

He'll live by a morality derived from within

Hell-bound with Hell found based not on arbitrary sin

To live free
