Breathing Alone

Poetry By: SabrinaKilkenny

For this poem, I'd like for it to be read from your own point of view. Make it relatable to yourself, so you're not reading another poem by someone you don't know, you're reading a poem wrote for you! Enjoy :)

Breathing Alone

Like arctic aqua rendering warmth,

Like a fragmented zip split in two,

Like the North and South stake,

Like two negatively charged electrons.

Like Derry and Kerry,

Like triumph and tragedy,

Like saltwater and the azure,

Like fibrous roots and extended shoots.

Like my yearning left and your irenic right,

Like luscious love and unhealing hatred,

Like ale and zinc,

Like bliss being and dark demise.

United, we do not exist.

We breathe alone.
