Christmas has always been
a time of laughter, joy and cheer
it was never meant to be
a time to bring on a childs fears
It wasn't supposed to be a time for
parents tears to fall
worrying their children
might not get a Christmas
at all
'cause no presents under the Christmas tree
has become a great fear
for people like you and me
But what we have seemed to forget
is that
Christmas joy isn't supposed
to be measured by the things you get
It's supposed to be about
being surrounded by loving
friends and family
not about toys being
bought and received
Christmas has become another
shallow holiday
people worrying about money
and getting the perfect Christmas tree
all the while hoping all this will make
their Christmas perfect,special
But what we must remember
is that the things you get
will eventually fade,brake,be thrown away
but the memory of time
spent with family and friends
will remain
So this year
instead of focusing on presents
focus on your love ones presence
remember to keep them close
remind them that you love them most
not because of the presents they share
but because of the fact that they care
