Being borne by the illiterate parents

Raised with a plain soft porridge

Where nutritional meals where only for the rich

Or so I thought, as rare as was any found

Nevertheless, here we are at last

From the dusty streets of every ghetto

Boys kicked self-made plastic balls

Designed with shopping plastic bags

Even so, today names are borne and created in Mzansi (SA)

The oppressing apartheid system is overcome

Rape and molesting are brought to light

Family abuse is tackled and so is human trafficking

Taxi violence is overcome

Pass laws are eradicated

Police brutality is no more

Today, the world renowned names are borne and found

Here in South Africa

My pride lies upon the fallen heroes

Those who fought for our liberty

The pride I have lies on humanity encouragement and development

My Pride lies on South Africa.
