Reflection of a skyline that I saw... just something I spit out :p

Looking at the skyline

Empty clouds full of nothingness

Holding onto hopes and dreams

People below work in tall buildings

They work between the skyline and the clouds

Trying to remember what they're here for

Trying to remember they're not machines

Tell me what you really see

People or just empty faces

Devoid of emotion

Devoid of life

Because their work fills the gaping hole

Ask them to remember that they're still alive

Looking at the skyline

Seeing the people below

Walking the streets, places to go

People to see

But are these people really people?

Then you see the people who stop and wait

"Have fun rushing through the rest of your life!" they call

THey say that because they're not machines

but everyone else is trapped in the skyline

and all they do is work

until the clouds have taken their hopes and dreams
