More Than a Friend
You’re pretty idiotic when you say those foolish things
But your truthful words never fail to make me sing
Of happiness and contentment that fills my heart
Something that will really stay, even if we’re apart
My awakened thoughts linger to you when I’m alone
As time passes, I notice how this love has grown
My day is never complete without seeing your face
Now that you stay in my heart, never ever leave this place
But time never slows down for the moments to stay
You think there’s time when it’s the end of the day
The seconds are being wasted away, but we don’t mind
We still don’t talk, but I don’t want to leave you behind
I don’t want to leave you, the one who is far from perfect
But I don’t care; I still love you, a truth and no secret
The exact reason why I try to live a life with no despair
Because I know someone who loves me and truly cares
Only Fate knows whether or not we’re meant to be
With the situation now, the future’s really hard to see
Should it not permit us to be together until the end
