You've walked a thousand miles, got a billion more to go
Trying to keep up while letting all those tears flow
Feeling so tired and fatigued you can't take it in anymore
But you can't give up for you're sure you can soar
No shortcuts taken, only long painful roads to choose from
For those roads are the ones that shape who you become
Taking shortcuts means taking the easy road there
But going down sooner leaving you with situations you can't bear
Look up to the skies and you will see the stars above,
All the strength provided by your family and friends' unending love
Never leaving your side unlike all those who pass by
Will be there for you when you smile and when you cry
Keep holding on to what you've dreamed of all this time
Never give up, your heart will be free and sublime
If you keep going on with fiery determination in your eyes
Then you'll see your dreams coming true and you yourself will fly.
