Standing on a building over looking a vast yard with a tall wall
The wall...does it keep those who would hurt me out?
Or dose it keep me in were I can do no one harm?
It tis not the fault of others that all people shun me
But my race that keeps me here
Lock me up
Throw away the key
That’s what they did
But they don’t know how unlocked my cage is
It has no dome to keep me from jumping out
This the human race calls a prison?
They make me laugh
How can a prison have no ceiling
This prison is an oasis that is in the desert
The only reason why I stay
Trapped in paradise
But how can it be paradise if it’s a prison?
