What happened to the girl I just to know?
Will I ever find out?
'Cause there were places I wouldn't go
And things I wouldn't shout about
'Cause I'd know the line,
I'd draw it far from base
So everyone would be fine
And I wouldn't fall from grace
But I'm a wild child, wild child,
I break every rule,
I'm hot and spicy, full on, never mild,
Never dedicated, least of all to school,
I'm out there getting busy, having fun,
In some ways I've hit the jackpot,
Every prize I've won,
And yet I've lost the lot
Being a wild child, wild child,
Not needing anyone
Oh, wild child, wild child,
All about having fun,
That's wild child, wild child,
Just wild,
Been such a bitch,
Oh, so not nice of me,
I'm such a hypocrite,
Done everything I once despised,
Just 'cause I'm a liar,
To my friends, to me, to strangers too,
Got such a big mouth,
Why doesn't it explode?
Gonna get beaten,
I don't blame them,
I'm going to just stand there
Moving side to side
Trying not to admit it hurts inside,
Sworn not to say a word more,
And haven't hit out since I was small
Out of control,
Forgotten the role I play,
Yeah, I'm a little actress
But without films on broadway,
Just what I do, who I am,
Like it everyday
Until I stopped hiding and smiling,
And didn't land on my feet again
Just up and down,
Jack in a box,
I'm so loud, so blurry,
Oh, just red,
Existing then living,
Ordered then messy,
Guilty then couldn't care less,
And finally breathing
'Cause I'm a wild child, wild child, wild child,
It's how I work,
Wild child, wild child,
Oh, watch and learn
