Be the friend

In our yesterdays
Expect normalcy
When normal is far from our reach
When normal is no longer attainable
Have faith in me
Faith was lost years ago
Its end was marked by your betrayal
By your constant lies
Look at you
You are so pretty when you are pleading
Your eyes big and bright
Your mouth in a pout
Oh how you lack affect on me
To your requests
I can only reply
That you are no longer my muse
My poems are no longer for you
No more pictures will be drawn or painted for you
You do not inspire me anymore
Forgive me, you say
I have, but
I can not forget
Love me
I do
But love is not enough
Our end was marked by you
Through me our bridge is
Burned
