A pillow fitting comfortable
Snug around your head
Intoxicating
Keeping you
From ever leaving bed
But a headache brewing
Mentions
This is not as things should be
You cannot stay amongst the pillows
In another fellows sea
Out from in the clouds of sleep
My dear you must escape
Continue on your journey
Of this ever growing wake
Floating down the river
Of the minds elusive eye
These boats we ride
So full of empty
Suffocating lies
Inside each seed
Of fabricated
Disillusioned song
Is a heart of love
born yearning
Knowing
The wait it may be long
But oh
For a chance to sing
A chance to soar
And to belong
To discover undiscovered
Deep discarded truth
Left behind in wanton lust
Betrayals of our youth
As we drop the anchor plashes
A knife to cut the bind
And the air we breath is cleaner knowing
We have left them all behind
