You were the captain, though you never guided me.
You held me down like an anchor in the sea.
I lost all control in this Underwater Dream.
I swam down deep in the ocean, so blue.
I wiggled my feet while searching for you.
The sharks came to be, but I wasn't afraid
Because I finally see, to learn from my mistakes.
I could've hid, but there was no use.
I rode a Giant Squid and let the Mermaids loose.
I saw the Sword Fish fight, and swear I didn't cry
But all went silent with the flash of light
Glowing with a trident, it's all so magical
If I were to step forward, I know I'm gonna fall
None needed to breathe, but that didn't change a thing
With a jump and a sing, back into the Underwater Dream
I always wanted to be a captain, I dreamed and I dreamed
And I dreamed, but all I heard was laughing, I guess I was
the Plankton in the bottom of my Underwater Dreams
And you held me down but never saw a thing
So I followed the clouds and left my troublings.
Maybe anchors don't like sinking...
So I swam to the bottom, to save the anchor I followed
I crashed with the waves, to save the day
And I pulled you up to let you know
The bottom of the ocean's a place you'll never have to go... again
Now I don't have to pretend
I jumped from the clouds,
I didn't sink down,
I sat with the chief...
In my Underwater Dreams
