Out side the city gate,

Was a man with a shadowed face,

In a soft voice spoke this man,

"I heard of your fate,

I'd like to help you and show you pace,

You people gave you supplies,

But they believe that you will die.

Many will wish you harm,

But I wish that you survive."

"Sir, I do not understand,

Would seek to help me,

I am much less then any man.

To except your help,

would make me less then what I am."

Teary eyed as the boy replied.

"I do not know how to get where I must go,

All I know that it is north along this road."

Then the boy closed his eyes,

Then headed north along the road.

The man smiled and stayed behind,

As he slowly followed.
