My brother was walking home from school one day
With my sisters in hand
Waiting at the corner the lights turned green
They proceeded to walk to the little green man
The smallest let go
As she felt safe to do so
A car didn’t give way
My brother screams to late
On the ground she lay
My brother picked her up gently in his arms
Tears running down his face
People came running up to him
Please put her down, an ambulance is on its way
He was hesitant to let her go
As in his arms, he knew she was safe
The women came running up to my brother
And said she ran in front of her car
Look at the damage done to my car mirror
This is not my fault but hers
We went to the hospital
And all was well
We then had to go to the police station
Nothing can be done the police said
The faults was that of the little girls
My brother sat at my sister’s side
All day and all night
Broken hearted filled with guilt
What could be worse than all this
My next chapter you don’t want to miss
Look for my little sweet pea
My sister born with a disability
