A Gloom in the Corner

To feel alone is a sad thing and nobody really knows

Whether at school, work or anywhere, lonesome grows

It doesn't matter if people are close by, this ache is often there

You feel like the only person, down so low with no one to care

You just want to shout, "Hey, I need a good friend to lift me!"

But alone is quiet, ever still, one empty corner left to be

Alone is chilling, a lost gloom feeling that takes over the day

There can't be bright, happy events since skies are dismal gray

Yes, a very dark cave until the precious sun comes to shine

Love is that light to comfort the heart, life is good, life is fine!

Thank heavens, there's someone who shares love, sticks around

For many, together is special joy, the sweetest loving sound!

Happiness is a warm companion, a true love for life!
