Secrets Imprisoned
She struggles against the cold dark cage
It claws her making the river flow red
No one knows
She holds it so close but its still to far away
She screams out in agony
No one hears
She falls away into her lies
Can she tell and let them go?
No one listens
She cries tears silently falling
Crashing against the darkness
She listens for the sound of anothers breathing
She listens for the sounds of survival
She yearns for the sounds of escape
She trembles under the night sky
Can she hold it?
Can she let it go
Can she let her demons free?
Or is there no escape for the girl
Who was ripped away from her innocence
Her secret holds her in a tight hold
The one she fears
Alive but gone
Burned by the flame of insanity
She watches his eyes
With a cold expression
She is still caged
While he can't remember
She is still suffering
While he can't feel
She is still trying to escape
While he has freedom
She is still dying
While he still lives
She looks at his cold blue eyes
Lifts the knife and sets herself free
The blood flows over
Into the cold night
Her soul flows into the darkness
Along with her shattered heart
