A REMARK YOU MADE
The lingering hangs, its’ weight remains
A spark now gone, a remark you made…
The thoughts wound frayed unbound belayed
If only to find that place from grief’s relief
Without the burdens love lost respites belief
Will left untouched, by that profaned
A spark long gone, a remark you made…
The lights devoid of warmth felt passed dawns
No sight of void left unturning in time suspended
Burning paralysis intrudes sensation upended
Let now that course, a holding that life’s made
A thought extinguished, and now words fade…
The strength of one uncontested eternity end unseen
A longing God unpresent unfound absent a dream
Somber gleam smolder unstayed... A Remark You Made
