When I walked in on something I want to wipe from my memory but I know I will never forget...

Pink hair staining a scarlet red,

The pool dripping to the floor,

Your eyes empty as I see you on the bed,

Standing in horror looking through the door.

A small note scrunched in your hand,

Tear stains run down your pale face,

I suddenly lose the ability to stand,

My heart thumping at a fast pace.

I stare at the blood falling from your wrist,

Knowing that it's too late,

Knowing that I could have stopped what I just missed,

I can't move so all I have to do is wait.

Someone will come to see you soon,

I sit there and wonder why you did it today,

I cry silently as I hear people come in like a platoon,

After all it is your birthday.
