Season 1; Episode 3: The Story Behind The Godai Master
Ito: (confused) How did you… know?
Azumaro: (waving his fist at the man) Yeah, you… stalker you?
Cloaked Man: It just happened!
Takara: It doesn’t just happened, did you know it when you followed us?
Ito: And we still need to know who you are! We’re not suppose to talk to strangers!
Azumaro: (to ito) Uh, we did!
Ito: When?
Azumaro: Remember last time? We asked a lot of people?
Ito: That was a different story!
(The cloaked man started to laugh.)
Azumaro: (pissed) What the hell is so funny?! First you followed us, and then you HEARD us? (points at the man) EVIL!!!
Cloaked Man: (stops laughing) Oh you guys, my unknown profile is not you concern of your unknown dream girl’s whereabouts!
Ito: So?
Cloaked Man: So, I’ll tell all when we go to my place. (then walks away)
All: HAAAAAAAAAAH?
Ito: Well I guess we have no choice!
Azumaro: And he has a place!
Takara: Come on! He’s waiting for us!
(The children started to follow the cloaked man, but he’s all ready ahead of them. They arrived at the dojo, and they wowed. The children entered the cloaked man’s home. They wowed. The cloaked man took of his cloak off, and appeared to be an old man in his sixties, he’s bald, has a white mustache and beard, he’s too bony, the same color eyes as Takara’s and the same skin as Azumaro’s. This is the house of the Kaikaku guru named Koichi.)
All: (shocked) Holy shit!
Takara: He’s just an old man!
Koichi: I’m not just an old man, you know!
Azumaro: Then what are you doing here living in the guru-like dojo?
Koichi: This is my home!
Ito: And that means…
Koichi: Yup. I’m the guru!
All: (excited) Awesome!
Azumaro: (in relief) Phew! On the second though, I thought you were the grim reeper, trying to eat children!
Koichi: (laughs) Oh, I have my ways of travel! I don’t want anyone to know my true self beyond these walls
Ito: So you’re a vampire?
Koichi: (-_-) No.
Ito: Oh.
Koichi: I just wanted everyone to stop asking me too many questions that are useless in any way, shape, or form!
Takara: That’s why you wear that cloak?
Koichi: Yup!
Azumaro: (pointing at Koichi) Okay, wrinkles! Less small talk, more info! What do you know about this girl?
Koichi: Oh yes! About that!
Ito: Is there something wrong?
Koichi: Oh no (then looks down) It’s just that…
Takara: Yes?
Koichi: (then looks up at the children) I happened to know her!
All: HAAAAH?
(commercial break.)
Takara: (pissed) GET BACK TO THE STORY ALREADY!!!
(Now back to the show…)
Koichi: Would you be interested in a story I’m gonna tell you?
All: Yes?
Koichi: But just one problem.
Takara: What’s that?
Koichi: I don’t remember what she looks like.
Takara: Oh.
Azumaro: (whining) Can I sleep now? My tummy’s full!
Koichi: Sure! Make youself confortable!
Azumaro: Sweet!
(Azumaro jumps into Koichi’s bed, and starts drooling on it.)
Takara: (confused) Okay? He’s nuts!
Ito: (to Koichi) If you know so much, except what the girl looks like, do you know our names?
Koichi: I’m not a psychic, but I know that you’re Ito, right?
Ito: Crap! You know my name?
Koichi: Yup. (pointing to Takara) You’re Takara, and (pointing at Azumaro) And he’s Azumaro!
Takara: (=_=) And he’s a doofus, sometimes!
Koichi: Something must have told me that you remind me of someone that I knew… your father!
Ito: My father?
Koichi: King Kazuki. You look just like him. He’s tall, he’s strong, and he helped me from a falling cliff. He was an excellent earth bender!
Ito: My father? An earth bender?
Koichi: He didn’t tell you?
Takara: Koichi, you’ll have to forgive him! He’s lost his memory.
Koichi: Oh no!
Takara: Yeah.
Koichi: Then we gotta get your memory back, son!
Ito: No! It’s okay. I’ll do it on my own!
Koichi: All right then!
Ito: Can we get back to that girl?
Koichi: Right! Do you know what she looks like, or you lost a sight of her?
Ito: I may have lost my memory, but I still have a picture of her in my head!
Koichi: Really?
Ito: Well, the girl in my dreams has curly brunette hair, brown eyes, rosy cheeks, she’s in her late twenties, pale skin, she has a nightgown on her, and she glows!
Koichi: Glows?
Ito: (excited) Hell yes! Her glow was pink! No wait! I think it’s fuchsia!
Koichi: Say it ain’t so!
Ito: Believe it, Koichi! That girl is…
Koichi: (remembering Susumi’s name) Susumi Nejikawa!
Takara and Ito: What?
Ito: That’s the girl in my dream’s name?
Koichi: I believe so!
Ito: Cool! Now that we got her name, I want to know where she is!
Koichi: I’m afraid not!
Ito: Why not?
Koichi: I don’t know how to put this to you, but she’s all ready dead!
Ito: All ready dead?!
Koichi: Yes, my boy!
Ito: But how? She’s the one that saved me from drowning!
Koichi: Oh Ito, you and your wild imagination, that’s just her spirit that saved you! She’s Kazuki’s sister-in-law!
Ito: Suzumi’s my aunt?
Koichi: You bet!
Takara: Okay? The story?
Koichi: Oh right! Now I’ll tell all!
(Koichi claps his bony hands, and all the little flames were out, except one, between Takara and Ito and the guru.)
Koichi: Long ago there were four tribes: The Makigai, the Kaikaku, the Katatsumuri Kaigara, and the Suna Hebi. Each tribe was in each island that surrounds the island of Japan. They were the four element keepers, while Japan became void/sky/heaven. Each island has an element: Wind, in the north; Water, in the west; Earth, in the south; and Fire in the east. In Chi Nation, they have acess to be the Godai Masters, because in this Pagodas, Earth comes first, and Void goes last. The earth benders, males who are 15 or older, get to be Godais, and they’re sent on a mission to master 4 elements to receive the fifth and final element.
Ito: Okay? What’s that had got to do with Susumi anyway?
Koichi: Be patient, young one, I’m just getting to the good part.
Ito: Okay.
Koichi: One day, on usual days, the Suna Hebi had a dictator, and wanted to attack Sui Nation, but Chi Nation were such close friends to Sui Nation so they attack the Ka Nation, and the have a war. The Chi nation wins, but Ka Nation had still planned to invade Sui nation, and kill for no reason.
Takara: Just like my mother, and brother.
Koichi: I’m sorry for your loss!
Takara: Thanks!
Koichi: Then something weird happened: An earth bending girl named Susumi became a rebel to work in doors while men were at war. She wanted to feel what is like for a man to travel, so she wanted to become a Godai Master, but she’s a girl, she can’t! But the Katatsumuri Kaigara maidens created a septor that symbolizes their tribe, made out of wood, and with a snail’s shell on top.
Ito: Wow!
Koichi: No hold on! This is not the end!
Ito: (excited) Then keep going! I’m liking it all ready!
Koichi: Oh boy! Anyways, Since Susumi’s earth bending skills is new to her, she had your father to teach her, and then she’s off on her quest, which is new to her, she has to recover four gems of each island nation. Suddenly Ka Nation has a plan to get rid of the Godai master once and for all! They started to find her and kill her!
Takara: Did they kill her?
Koichi: Thankfully no, she was all ready dead! She was too sick, and died recently. Her spirit was sent to the Pagodas. They made a statue of her with all the other previous Godai Masters, and she was most honored, because she became the first female Godai ever!
Ito: So where’s the septor? What happened to it?
Koichi: The septor was gone! The gems were scattered all over the 5 islands, and it was never seen again. That is my story.
Takara: Wow! That’s very sad!
Koichi: It is.
Ito: Since we don’t know where the septor is, now what?
Koichi: We go to sleep!
Takara and Ito: HAAAAAH?
Takara: You bastard! How can we go to sleep in a time like this?
Koichi: I can! My throat hurts from all that talking about Susumi (coughs) I need a drink of water!
Ito: Well that’s reasonable!
Koichi: We’ll good night!
(Koichi heads to his room.)
Takara: Now that you found what you’re looking for, Let’s get some sleep!
Ito: Yeah! I can finally sleep after all this!
(Ito and Takara sleep. That night, Ito has the same dream again. Susumi calls to him. He dreamed about the cave, and something else, too. It was so fast that he woke up, and started to sweat.)
Ito: (to Takara) Takara? Are you awake?
Takara: (sleepy) Wha?
Ito: (whisper) I think I might know where it is.
