Joey: Maria, I don't know. I know I love you but maybe I want someone...better. Someone who treats me right. I've been with you for 3 years and all you've is treated me like all I am to you is someone to sleep with.
Maria: Joey, you know you mean more to me than that. I love you, for you! I have always loved you.
Joey: You loved me when you cheated on me?
Maria: I didn't know what I was doing then. I was drunk.
Joey: Everyone says that. It's not a good reason. You have hurt me so many time but I have taken you back because I love you.
Maria: If you love me so much, then why are you thinking of being with another girl?
Joey: Because I think I love her too.
Maria: You can't love to people at the same time!
Joey: You have! You have no right to tell me what I can and cannot do.
Maria: If you don't want to be with me, then just leave!
Joey: (exits stage right)
