New Members Welcoming Committee
My goal: To welcome new booksie mebers.
I must admit I sort of got this idea from booksie member Lionheart, but not completely. The welcoming committee is my idea, just some of the ways I've phrased things are rather Lionheart inspired.

Welcome all citizens of booksie, new and old. I have a tendency to welcome new mebers to the site witha short friendly message, and I have seen many others doing the same. I decided that we should all unite in a committee. The purpose? I don't really know. To share our good deeds with one another and to boast about how wonderful and welcoming we are? That sounds good.
Now this won't be about prestige and contests and stuff like that. It's just too confusing, and rather silly. Just tell me if you like to welcome people to our site and you can post a message like "I welcome all new members who are reading my comment! I hope you like this site, because I sure do."
You can also post short welcoming poems and things about booksie in your comments. So come all ye welcomers! Start welcoming!!

What a great idea! I see that others have welcomed some newcomers to Booksie. I suppose you can sign me up for the "Welcoming Committee"
(Can't be online every day, though. It sucks having to work for a living. Wish I could write for a living!!)

So i see i have created some inspiration, thats very embarrassing for me, in fact im blushing... may i say: well met. I join your party.
To new members:
I personally have no family and only one (rare visiting) actual friend. Im practically all alone, but i have found many people that have become friends, i hope you find what i have. I am not a real writer, i have never taken a writing short course or have ever joined any sort of reading and writing club. Im a nerd that found my "Roar" and because of its sincerity, i have found myself, leading others to find me too.

Well I have been a member since Oct, but just recently started writing on the site. I have felt very welcomed here, and I hope that other newbies feel the same way. Good writing everyone!!!!!

I love writing, reading and commenting here at Booksie! I also love welcoming some new members every day. It's good for all of us as it aquaints the old with the new! Welcome one and all and a few things to remember: We all need to read and comment on others writing... not just post our own work and wait for comments! And the blue 'I Like it' box can be clicked as well as leaving a comment for someone. It's either or BOTH, especially if you feel strongly about a piece!! Thanks Amity for your Welcoming Committee ideas and post!! Happy NEW Year and WELCOME TO BOOKSIE, everyone!!!

The reason I welcome new members is to give them a sense of... well, welcoming. To get them more excited about the site, and to let them know that we are kind here, which makes them feel more relaxed, which then allows them to post honest writings without worrying about being criticized.
