Fundamentally the country would survive. Morally it would fail. For when you have a leader who interferes in the strageties of his generals of war, then you have failures, and failures lead to a decline in morale. He didn't know any better, he just wanted to control everything. Our leader was a control freak. Was.
For now he has been overthrown, and a new age of prosperity has begun. Or so we all thought. For it turns out, the apparent "good guys" merely wanted the same power he had, and have now utterly destroyed the spirit of the country. It would do no good to fight back against them; people would merely think that you would want power as well. Well, I want to fight back, I want to prove to the world that this country still thrives, even if its leaders don't. But doing that would be like flogging a dead horse.
Is there no hope for my country? Is there no hope for the thousands, nay, millions of citizens that were born and bred here? What have we done to deserve a life such as this? Why can't we have a government who actually cares for us?
Fundamentally the country has died. But morally it has already been buried.
