I'm 56 this October and I've been an accountant for longer than I care to remember. Worked in lots of trades (building, printing, textles, hotel bookings, power utilities, plastics, food and retail).
I've now got the job that fell off the Christmas tree and it'll last me until retirement..............that's when the writing will come in handy if I can ever get published.
I've been married for 32 years, and my wife and I have two children (25 & 17), two cats and NO MORTGAGE so the sub-prime shocker will just pass us by like a ship in the night.
Favourite authors are Thomas Hardy, James Patterson and Deric Longden (probably not known in the States).
Music? - Queen, Beatles, Gershwyn, Borodin, Puccini
Titles ? - Bohemian Rhapsody (learning to play it), Let it Be, Rhapsody in Blue, String Quartet, Che Gelida Manina
Sport - Gridiron (!), Soccer, Rugby (Can't play any but love to watch)
Teams? Buffalo Bills, Nottingham Forest, England
Favourite TV - CSI (all), NCIS, Law & Order, Numbers, House (Hugh Laurie is great - and British!)
Been writing since last July (2007) and have three completed but unpublished novels, one now in progress and around 70 short stories.
Can't think of anything else at present, but it is late........................................22.35hrs
