The pain is out of control

It is no longer only in my head

It has taken over my everything

I sleep all day but feel so tired

Weak body and weak mind

As I walk down the hall in a blurr

I feel nothing because I feel so much

My hero is spotted and she knows

She wraps her arms around me

As only mothers can and holds me tight

She is not my mother, she is someone elses

But if she was a stranger on the street who hugged me

I would know that she was a mother

She walks away

I know that I can handle whatever the day brings
