sometimes i beg for you to teach me what's to love. sometimes i need to be forced to pretend that beauty exists.

Show me this blue sky that I’ve heard so much about.

Teach me about the voices in the wind.

Make me able to feel the warm sand under my feet.

Confess to me the freedom that some have preached about, that is beyond these walls.

Tell me how to embrace love.

Let me pretend for even an instant that fate is not harsh and the world is not hollow.

Fill these blind eyes with color.

And entice these mute lips to sing.

Find a way to make this heart beat once more.
