365: Poetry, Day by Day

Novel By: shadowblade258

Tags: Poetry, Daily, Life

This is a novel of poetry that will chronicle an entire year. Everyday is a new chapter, and within those chapters lie poems. Depending on the day i may write upwards of 3-5 poems. Other days it may be only one. I will differentiate between types of poetry. That way it won't always be the same old thing. View table of contents...

Chapter1: Freedom Has Begun (The Aftermath of Graduation)

After Throwing My Cap (Free Verse)

Everything is so bright

It's such a gorgeous sight

Everyday that the sun shines

It shines brighter than the last

The meaning of the word beauty it flawlessly defines

For my life is no longer confined

Never again do i have to walk in a straight line

Because i am free

If i wanted

I could set out from sea to sea

Ocean to ocean

There is no longer a need for those familiar, static motions

I feel like a dog unleashed from its harness

A fish escaping from that dreaded hook

As if i am invincible, ageless

But really, 17 years of my life is all it took

To give me complete and utter freedom

And my heart a continuous, happy rhythm

Heart Skips A Beat (Haiku of The Day):

New annoyance

My girlfriend's 'great' stepbrother

Deserves a beating
