May is mental health awareness month.
Here is a poem I wrote about struggling with bipolar disorder. I do not have this particular disorder, so I hope my interpretation was okay.
"Crow" is a piece I composed to accompany a picture I took of three blackbirds soaring in circles during a foggy and stormy night. I sensed something creepy and deathly about the crows and decided to portray that feeling through my poetry and photography.
"My Tracks" was a piece of poetry that I composed to accompany a picture I took of a train moving along train tracks. The poem holds a story of a young child who contemplates leaving the difficulties of life for a life riding the tracks or staying to keep his loved ones from distress.
