The sun sets,
And the sun rises.
We say hello to goodbye.
As the ashes fall to the ground,
A repetitive circle of distrust forms,
As we grow further apart.
To only say goodbye.
My lip quivers from the thought.
My hands shake from the fear.
To you I can not say that word.
Saying goodbye means so much,
And yet so little.
Let me hold on.
If only for today,
If only for a while.
The sun rises,
And then sets once again.
We say goodbye to hello.
