Hidden Melodies

Poetry By: A Poets Justice
Poetry

A short poem about how memories can come back and sometimes seem so much like it happened yesterday, bringing back old feelings and letting your remember things that you at one time found pleasant. To me these memories can sometimes be the strenght or the push, the courage you need to make it through tough situations, or they can simply be a pleasant thought that brightens up an ordinary day. I look on these and I smile, thinking to myself "ha! i did that, i was a silly child" or" I remember when my friends had that riduculious idea what was he thinking?". Over here i walk around with a smile on my face, the people around me think I'm happy all the time, they're aways asking me " why are you smiling, tell me what your thinking" they want to know the secret to my good cheer, they wish they had the same.
The secret is of course happy memories.

Hidden Melodies

A stream of memories, thoughts keep swimming past me,

What used to be and what will be, transcends into one sweet melody,

With a voice like a drum that rhytmically pounds to an invisible beat,

And a laughter that sounds like the pluckings of a violin in harmony,

I think of things long past and almost forgotten,

I remember a time when anything seemed possible, anything an option,

Dense as smoke the song sometimes pauses and fades away,

My ideas evaporate into quietness as if they had nothing more to say,

But the rumblings of their snores reminds me that they only lay asleep,

A dormant key to unlock the doors that lay within my minds keep,

Hidden melodies.
