A DAUGHTER'S LOVE

Poetry By: A Stranger
Poetry

This is written honoring the most selfless act of love I have ever born witness to. I also dedicate this to all daughters everywhere. AS

Her strength amazes me

Poised beauty, witness to the last chapter

Even when anger, anguish, and sorrow roll down her face

All but overflow

Her stregth, inspires me

Plagued by doubt and fear

Still she supports, loves, understands

Her strength, gifted selflessly

Standing ever vigilant over her mother

You can feel her willing life

The drive to go on

I have never been in such presence

Like watching a sun flower bloom in winter

Blazing, fierce, unyielding

Transfixed, I am. Pondering why I stay

Powerless, awkward, in the way

She accepts an inhuman burden, smiling

Then I see her eyes

Unsure, scared

Yet resolved

My gift, compassion, love, hope

Expressed in a look

Another moment, and gone

She is strength, I will be resolve

She is the pillar, I the platform

Watching and sensing her devotion

Beauty manifest

Blessing of something greater

I am allowed as witness to this testament

This gift so very rare

Whatever needed, whatever asked...

Without question

This is written

Honoring

A DAUGHTER'S LOVE
