A sky burns red
Cleansing today
Becoming tonight
As darkness sets in
The Children of the Night
Can be seen
Specks littering the horizon
Dancing ever so lightly
On their sister Aurora's dress
A caressing glow on black velvet
A sky begins to brighten
And children fade away
Their romance and their sparkle
Tucked away for it is becoming day
A changing of the guard
A sincere silver making way
For burning gold
A sky burns red
The farewell of last night
Off-set by the greeting of tomorrow
And on the wind, floats the sound of rustling paper
