Life, a wonderous secret
Trialed by time
Stages of wisdom attained
Are wrought with experience
And challenges, ever present
A chameleon in unexpected places
The purpose in life is not just to live
But to attempt and grow
To accept the hard times
Let them challenge you
Even discourage to the point of giving up
But remember, lying down is easy
The first step to the secret
Is continuing on
No matter how bleak the future
To make anew day worthwhile
Not for oneself, but another perhaps
There are certainly those whpo cannot persevere
There are those who simply lie down and die
An inner death, a living husk
And here lies the grreatest of trials
For setting aside one's own problems to rekindle
A determination
To some is ridiculous
But it is done, selflessly
The sacrifice, no matter how small
Blossoms an awakening to the lost
For life's secret is not first in the living
But also in the sharing and helping
So they can live too
