A petal falls, gently spiraling
Caressing the ground as the two meet
The other awaiting wiht arms outstretched
Touching the horizon
The embrace a mimic of your touch
The simple difference being my heart flutters
The soft words of the wind
Ever light and comforting
Dry early morning tears
Of those hushed by a new day
A shadow of how your voice touches me
The simple difference being
My breath quickens
A fawn in spring
Its innocent beauty
Brushing aside all thought but wonder
Bringing the simple gift of a smile
Sentiments you stir in me
The simple difference being
For all my vaunted skill
I am unable to describe them with my pen
