What is it about a woman?

Poetry By: A Stranger
Poetry

Trying to understand why men(me included) would chance everything. In hindsight, because we have to. To you all you beautiful women, I thank you.

What is it about a woman?

Each cardinal point

that you look

they stun you

Gorgeous, heart pounding

drinking in the sight

carnal thoughts

that will always flirt

with action

and then, that slap

hard, drawing blood

stunned, tripping over

an obstacle not there

in that instant

all you are, being offered

on a look

Why?

What is it about a woman?

That makes a man

want her

need her

make him better

becomes his faith

his sustenance

that moment when soul meets

its counter point in another

What is it about a woman?
