A little thing about the begging for forgiveness.

Please don't let the daylight
Rain down all the truths!
We were never for cheap metaphors,
The cliches weren't much use.
Please don't let the light be
Insight you had lost.
Don't let it show you the real me,
Don't let it weigh the costs.
Please don't find that sunshine,
Makes words once light so heavy,
Don't blame it on the wine,
On fogged reality.

Please don't let this sickness,
Be heartbreak in disguise.
I just can't take that failure
Mirrored by judging eyes.
Please don't linger by
Doorways and my hand.
Don't let your beauty turn to lies,
Don't pretend you don't understand.
Please mirror my reflection,
Let me see the same hunger in your being.
Please let me fake perfection,
Let it be what I am seeing.

I promise, I vow, I'll do you no wrong,
I'll love you forever, always,
I'll always go beyond.
I'll forgive you all your faults,
And always give a second chance,
I'll take it with a grain of salt,
I live the music of your dance.

I could never hurt you, I could never
See you cry, again,
I would never do it, ever,
If you gave me my second chance.
