Pretty girl, wipe your eyes
And golden boy, stop your sighs
Won't you both just listen?
She was a beauty, you were a prince,
But we've learned better since;
We're not gold, we only glisten.
You've both done eachother wrong,
There's been times you each were gone,
Don't make revenge your mission.
Let go your pride, you selfish fools,
Forget the wrongs, don't be cruel,
Don't make hate your position.
Hold your fists and your tongues,
Words spoken can't be undone,
Lay done your trusted ammunition.
If we would all take hits in stride,
And forget the times the other lied,
Could we not break tradition?
Pretty girl with such sad eyes,
Golden boy with restless sighs,
You both just never listen.
