I drank five cups of coffee to drown your memory
Turns out you're quite the swimmer with janitorial keys
You unlock every door each time I close my eyes
You hide in every corner yet I'm eternally surprised
I thought my dreams were confined to my time asleep
I should've known you'd be capable of making such a leap.
Now you haunt my conscience by leaving footprints in your wake
No matter how far I run or how many pills I take
Your memory's a shadow that stretches far out of sight
The only thing I can escape is peaceful sleep at night.
