Darkness envelops me in comforting wings,
Want creeps,
Urge consumes,
Need controls,
Muscles tense,
Hands clench,
Eyes squeeze shut,
I curl into a ball,
Fighting desperately,
For reasons I do not know,
For a fight I don’t know if I want to win,
Shiny metal glistens in my mind,
Taunting,
Luring,
Craving,
Heavy breath,
Painful gasp,
My body relaxes,
Today I win,
But there’s always tomorrow......
What’s the point in winning the battle when you’re losing the war?
