What happened to the girl that smiled?
What happened to the girl that laughed?
It’s a question I ask myself every day,
Who was that girl?
I can barely remember her,
Yet I see her face every day in the mirror,
With a sad blank face,
And lines on her wrists,
What happened to her?
When did the happiness fade?
And the depression crashed in,
Where is she?
What happened to her?
What made her change?
Everything changed her,
She was tired of faking smiles,
Tired of playing strong,
Tired of not moving on,
Tired of playing free,
Tired of playing pretending,
That’s what happened to me.
