Based on a lovely photograph I found of a sunset when I was on vacation in California. Very descriptive poem.

One Sunset
Salty cool water,
Pink skies,
All reflecting in my eyes.

Soft sand,
Shadows running laughing,
Calm waves passing over the sand, passing.

White capped waves in the distance,
The sun is slowly setting,
Beautiful colors smoothly blending.

Weatherworn rocks on the beach,
Shining waters,
In the smooth sand not a falter.

So lovely I can almost taste its sweetness,
Small shells between my toes,
Birds call far away without any woes.

A hand in mine to protect me from the waves,
Calming, serene, peaceful, wonderful, a reason to ponder,
All in one sunset as sweet as sugar
