Faked Desire

A girl lost in life

Another drink burning down her throat
A little more to numb the senses
Pulsing lights and rhythmic beats
Bodies too close for comfort
Whispers in the dark
Meaningless flaws and shallow men
A lie in their caress
A fault in their desire
Drawing her closer to the end
The next regret in the line
Kissing with a bullet between her teeth
Giving into the claws at her heart
A rough hand in dampened hair
Pulls back to expose a bruised throat
Used before now to use again
Breaking her self-control
Pushed downwards onto the concrete ground
No comfort just a blur
She has lost her mind
A daze in the crowd
Worthless rifts of faked pleasure
The longest seconds of her life
Left in a mess on the floor
He kills her every time
