I LOVE FOOD
I love food fixed every way
I can eat it night or day
Put it in a plate or bowl
Somehow food just feeds my soul
Some they like it sweet and spicy
Some eat it hot some eat it icy
I love the stuff they use as toppings
Croutons, bacon, or veggie choppings
I like it blackened, boiled, or fried
Some exotic food I've often tried
Some so hot my tongue's on fire
Some so sweet my heart's desire
I love the texture, I love the crunch
If it's real good then I'll eat a bunch
I love to bake it, boil it, or grill
To make something special I get a thrill
something special that's like no other
Or make some dish just like my mother's
Both my grandma's could set a table
Filled with good things that we weren't able
To finish off we could eat for days
Delicious food fixed in the country ways
We'd have cornbread, gravy, and biscuits
we'd fill our plates, when empty we'd lick it
So if you ever want to change your mood
Just take a big bite of some good home cooked food
