A sprout will grow

Poetry By: air

reflecting on the growth of my life. probably could use a little more fixing up but--(oh well)

I grew as a sprout

from a tiny seed

upon my surroundings

I then did feed.

I mirrored those

that mirrored me

Inside this mirror

I was not free.

Reflections of many

years to follow

A life of fun

yet shallow and hollow.

Another sprout began to grow

a life inside a life of woe.

there to shed some truth

and light

of what is wrong

and what is right.

The small sprout would not listen

It attached itself in verse

to all of those around it

and life became much worse.

It chose not to see through

chaotic thoughts

and false pride

so a roller coaster took over

for a chaotic ride.

Then one day

when things couldn't get worse,

a decision was made

to give new verse.

The tall sprout stood still

awaiting on this time of will.

When the small sprout

lift up it's head

and laid the past behind,

the two of them became as one

and the two lives were combined.
