Water creeps the bridge
Crusted waves smack
The sides and knock asunder
-
Cover me in sorrow
But you’ll know, I do not borrow,
Any time for pardon or sweet woe
I’d stay on coarse of certainty
Which connects to who I am.
That one thing that I know
Beneath it all.
-
I might be under but I’m privy
Of knowing who I am,
Underneath it all
I bet I’ll swim.
-
Parts churn over in despair
Flow hither-tither where?
Those hours that I’m a buzz
Underneath the weather
Or in love ?
-
Because there are no rules;
Oh where should my hat fly.
And should I fly long with it
Really, should I??
-
The mind it fears of losing
And the will becomes depressed
The heart wishes to run
Although underneath the weather
And there’s water on the lawn….
-
I might be under but I’m privy
Of knowing who I am,
Underneath it all
I bet I’ll swim.
